2025 Mentoring Programme
About the Mentoring Programme:
Empowering Women, Building Connections
Starting a career and life abroad, or returning home after time abroad, comes with unique challenges that require tailored support.
Our mentoring program fosters a supportive and inclusive environment where women can connect, learn, and grow together.
What makes the iwibdus community special is the shared experience among its members—women who are currently navigating, or have previously navigated, similar transitions. Through personalized guidance and mentorship, we aim to:
-
Boost confidence and leadership skills.
-
Achieve personal and professional goals.
-
Build valuable networks.
-
Navigate life transitions with greater clarity
Join our vibrant community of globally minded women and discover the opportunities that await you.
Please note that while we strive to match every participant with a suitable mentor, selection is based on individual needs and the availability of mentors. Not all applicants may be accepted into the program.
Are You Ready to Be a Mentor?
Ask yourself the following questions:
- Do I want to support and encourage another woman?
- Am I willing to share my experiences and help someone grow?
- Am I open to learning new perspectives and shifting my mindset?
- Can I listen well and engage in honest conversations?
- Can I commit at least one hour per month starting January 2025?
If you answered “Yes” to these questions, we invite you to fill out our brief intake form, here.
Are You Ready to Be a Mentee?
Consider these questions:
- Do I feel stuck and unsure of my next steps?
- Can I clearly articulate my needs to a mentor?
- Am I open to hearing and learning from different perspectives?
- Do I want to connect with the professional community in Düsseldorf?
If you answered “Yes” to these questions, please fill out our brief intake form, here.
Mentors and Mentees’ Expected Time Commitment:
Meeting with your mentoring partner for one hour a month is the expected time commitment. This can be done virtually or face-to-face. Additionally, mentors and mentees are required to attend a tailored virtual orientation session in 2025. It is also strongly recommended that mentors and mentees participate in at least four check-in challenges.
Notes on how to qualify for the Mentoring Program:
Mentees and Mentors must be iwibdus members by January 2025 to qualify. You can join iwibdus now to gain membership for 2025 and take advantage of our end of year activities. Please note, if we are unable to identify a mentoring match, you may be eligible for a refund.
You can apply for membership via the form, accessible here.
