Let’s Talk Conversations III – Diversity and Inclusion

In the third session of our ‘Let’s Talk – Conversations’ series, a new panel of female leaders will lead discussions on the topic of Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace.

Set in a dialogue format, the moderator will invite attendees to reflect on diversity and inclusion in the workplace as well as discuss their perspectives and experiences together with a panel of three women leaders from international companies in Düsseldorf.

This discussion will be moderated by our own Carla Pittaluga and lead by Ana Galego (Henkel), Leigh Ann Kittell (Quoniam Asset Management) and Katarzyna [Kasia] Lukowska (Janssen)

About the women leading this discussion:

Ana Galego, R&D Director Global Packaging Technology – Henkel

Ana has been working in FMCG companies for more than 10 years in different roles from R&D Packaging, Supply Chain to Sustainability. She is originally from Brazil but has previously lived in the United States for about 2 years and currently is living in Düsseldorf. Her technical expertise is in Product and Packaging development and she is always engaged in multi-cultural groups to talk about diversity and womens empowerment in the organizations she has worked with.

Leigh Ann Kittell, Head of Product Communication and Marketing – Quoniam Asset Management

Leigh Ann Kittell, an American citizen, has been living in Germany for over 20 years and works in the finance industry in Frankfurt. She has an MBA from Penn State University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder. After several working years in equity research and portfolio management, she joined the Institutional Sales division at DekaBank where she managed the team Consultants & RFPs for over 10 years. Leigh Ann is currently Head of Product Communication and Marketing at Quoniam Asset Management, a subsidiary of Union Investment.

In her free time, Leigh Ann teaches and writes about yoga and well-being. She is a Martha Beck Certified Life Coach and published her first book in 2018. She also works with non-profit organizations as a youth and business mentor, most recently for the Trinidad-based non-profit Conflict Women, Ltd.’s Survivor Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition.

Katarzyna [Kasia] Lukowska, Business Unit Lead – Janssen

Originally from Poland, Kasia has had the opportunity to work across 4 countries, 3 functions and 2 sectors over the last 25 years. In marketing, she progressed through local, regional and global roles to the positions of CEE Cluster Marketing Director and Regional Marketing Organisation Director. She then moved to sales and supply chain, where she negotiated regional sales contracts with large retail chains and orchestrated supply chain operations across 12 EMEA markets. Last year Kasia joined the Janssen organization in Germany where she is responsible for the Gastroenterology Business Unit contributing to a great J&J vision of a ‘world without diseases’.

Kasia has a great track record in leading highly diversified, cross-functional teams and transforming organisations to make them thrive in the future. She is passionate about finding and leveraging strengths in individuals and teams. Most recently she has been leading the ‘New Way of Working’ program engaging employees into shaping the future of work and transforming employee experience.

She is also an active advocate for women’s advancement into leadership roles and empowerment of girls and women. Kasia lives in Düsseldorf with her husband and teenage daughter.
