If you just moved to Germany and are looking for a job, you should check if your qualifications are valid in your new country.

Here are some tips on how to do it:

For Regulated professions: medical professions (doctors), legal professions (lawyer), school and kindergarten teachers, public services, architects, etc., you should check with the Chamber/association which grants general permission to work in the sector for the related profession: Medical association, lawyers Chamber, District Council, Dentist Chamber, Ministry of Justice, Chamber of Architects, etc. More information on this website recognition.

For non-regulated academic qualifications (business studies, social sciences etc.) you should check the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB). Unfortunately the page is only in German.
