We had a great networking event on the evening of 28th Oct. It was held on line and I am impressed how the events team have perfected the technology so that women can move between virtual breakout groups . They meet new women , share tips about life in Dusseldorf and Germany in general and exchange information about our working lives. I was lucky enough to meet some new people and hear about how their path lead to Dusseldorf.
It is interesting how quickly we discover common ground when we start to chat – it might be a company we have both worked for or a type of work we both love doing or the fact we love to explore the new places we have moved to internationally. I have had some really interesting conversations in these events which have helped me to understand aspects of Germany that were puzzling me when it came to running my business, for example.
Our informal networking happens once a month and is open to non members so that they can get a taster of what our group is like. Some are in person, some are on line – watch out for the next date in November – we would love to meet you.
