iwibdus is seeking a board member who can lead a team and actively engage with volunteers. This role requires a leader passionate about supporting women in business. The role is for a 3 year term.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of volunteers, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Engage directly with volunteers, providing support and guidance.
- Represent iwibdus at events and in the community.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience, preferably in volunteer-based settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be a current iwibdus member, preferably with prior involvement in the organization.
- Commitment to the mission of empowering women.
Commitment:
Board members are expected to attend monthly board meetings and dedicate time to meetings, volunteer coordination, and strategic activities.
Application:
Interested candidates should submit their resume and a brief statement of interest highlighting their fit for the role. The Board will interview the candidates and then allow the Membership to have a Q&A with the candidates. The Annual General Meeting will be in Jan/ Feb 2025 and therefore we are completing the application process before the AGM for voting by the members.
