Dusseldorf’s Women’s Carnival Day (Weiberfastnacht) is part of The Crazy Days carnival. In the early morning, the streets are filled with young women and teenagers dressed in colorful cloths.
On 11:11 o’clock the carnival starts with parades and various events. In the evening, lots of parties are held in the bars and clubs where the women take their revenge from the men in a humorous way.
If a man meets a woman that approaches with pursed lips in one of the parties, he has to be prepared to get a ”festival kiss” named Butzie. But if she approaches with scissors, the man should be prepared to loose his tie (it will be cut).
The Women Carnival events create a unique joy atmosphere.
