Let’s Talk Conversations has begun
This was our first session of the year to reflect on diversity and inclusion.
A panel of three remarkable women discussed and shared their own experiences regarding leading teams and areas in international companies here in Düsseldorf.
We do believe that together we are stronger!
2021 has begun and we continue growing our community. More and new events to support our internationally minded women to be more connected and better prepare to achieve their goals here.
February 25th 2021 was the date to celebrate our first Let’s Talk Conversations session.
For more than an hour we reflected on what diversity and inclusion means to us as women, as expats and most of the time as both.
For that, we had an amazing panel of three leading women from international companies in Düsseldorf with big expertise not in diversity or internationality as their specific topic at work, but as their way of working. Martina Borghoff – Head of Corporate Talent Management at Rheinmetall, Rachel Mackenzie – Director of Asset Support & Outage Excellence at Uniper and Simona Tonella – IT Architecture Assurance and Transformation Manager at Vodafone and member of iwibdus Board.
Be bold, don´t give up and keep trying
With warmth, honesty and expertise they shared their vision and experiences about diverse teams and how an international mindset helps to create new work processes and provides new ways of thinking as well as boosts innovation.

But the most important tip probably coming from them as experienced and successful women was “believe in yourselves”. And if for that you need “to update skills or learn new ones such as digital tools or to use volunteering to upskill, do it”, emphasized Simona.
Our Let’s Talk Conversations will take place every two months.
