Frazer Jones and iwibdus

Frazer Jones and iwibdus have been collaborating through 2019 and into 2020 with their shared vision of helping recruit new talent into the German Job Market.

Frazer Jones has been recruiting for the HR market in Germany since 2008. Their local presence in Düsseldorf gives them the advantage and knowledge of the German HR landscape and expert knowledge of the industry. They are the only global leading specialist HR recruitment consultancy with a network of 11 international offices. Their team recruit across the financial services, professional services and commerce & industry sectors.

iwibdus met Katharina Wegera and James Casey through the International School of Dusseldorf and their desire to support the local community. Our shared interests were obvious from the start! We have a passion for ensuring talents are used well.

Katharina Wegera  E: katharinawegera@frazerjones.com T: +49 211 2479 1134

James Casey E: jamescasey@frazerjones.com T: +49 211 2479 1139

James came to the Talent Fair in December 2019 and posted about it on his Linkedin Page Dusseldorf’s Woefully Untapped Resource. We were hugely grateful for his support and ongoing championship of the network.

Frazer Jones then invited iwibdus to use their offices for our signature event – Speed Networking 2020. This downtown Düsseldorf venue was perfect to introduce women to the network and create new connections across the city. The venue was very loud and full of energy as 50+ women made new links and discussed where they could help each other.

Finally, Frazer Jones have been offering CV workshops for women in the network and supporting sharing of CVs across their sister companies. If you would like to be part of one of these CV workshops, sign up to our mailing list or watch the events page. Spaces go fast!

Their consultants have many years of experience in the recruitment industry and pride themselves on their ability to offer consultancy and staffing solutions on internal exercises such as employer branding, talent retention and learning & development. If you feel that any of the current vacancies on the frazer jones website are suitable to you, please contact Katharina or James and referencing the International Women in Business Düsseldorf.

Co-working Spaces

May 22, 2020 Leave a Comment

Here is an iwibdus guide to coworking spaces across Dusseldorf and what you can expect from them*.

Our Shared Office Space in Kaiserwerth.

This small office doubles as a shared co-working space for women who want a flexible place to work and just a desk for the day. The space is equipped with wifi and drinks but you have to bring your own laptop.

There are 4 permanent desks and 3 flexible desks that are allocated through an online system – so you can book the desk when you want to.

The two of the founders of iwibdus are leasing the property so it’s our unofficial home!

https://wrightcommunication.de and www.katykennedycoaching.com

Your Kitchen Table

Your kitchen table can be the start of a shared coworking space! If you are bored and think that you need support and joint thinking time with other women – then offer up your kitchen table to other women in the network. Use our facebook page to connect and ask for help. The network is all about women helping women – that’s why we are here!

The network started at a kitchen table. What will you start at yours?

Regus.de

Regus is a great resource to review what Dusseldorf coworking spaces can offer.

They have spaces all over the city. The Medienhafen, KO, Düsseldorf Airport and Königsallee. I haven’t listed them all here but they tend to get cheaper the further out of the centre you go.

They let you choose the package that is right for you – so you can have an office or just use a coworking space. You can have the address as your business address to look more professional and they have a full time receptionist. They offer networking and social events as part of the packages.

MY VIEW: Personally, I found the spaces were incredibly professional and easy to use but they were expensive if you wanted flexibility. The people change everyday and therefore are not very friendly. I wanted somewhere with more consistent people to build relationships.

Easyoffices.com

Easyoffice is a comparative website and pulls together all the available choices across Düsseldorf. This website literally says the same thing as the other websites and asks you to log in to get a quote. MY VIEW: I would go directly to the company websites and then the location you like. You get a better feel for how you (and your customers) are going to be treated by the manager and the receptionist.

159coworking.de

159 have flexible desks, fixed desks and meeting rooms. They can offer you the address as a fixed working address and other perks. They are based in Altbau auf der Hansaallee 159 in Düsseldorf/Oberkassel and are on the U74 and U76. They are near the Japanese International School. MY VIEW: The place is clean and fun. Great for a young professional.

Super7000.de

This place is highly recommended by members of the network. You can get desks, offices, meeting rooms and even spaces for large conferences. They are based in Rather Straße. They claim they are the first place to offer coworking spaces in Düsseldorf. MY VIEW: Definitely have a look around. The network is usually right!

Dusseldorf Chamber of Commerce or Expat Service Desk

If we’ve missed any, let us know who you recommend! We know that the friends of the network – Expat Service Desk have complete lists of what’s out there.

*We haven’t added costs in as they are on the websites and can change!
