What are the benefits of attendees of the Talent Fair?
At International Women in Business Düsseldorf (iwibdus) one of our primary objectives is to facilitate networking opportunities for our members. As part of these efforts, we have organized the Talent Fair on October 20th, an event that will connect women in our network with international companies recruiting within Düsseldorf and the Nordrhein-Westfalen region.
The highlight of this event will be the 12 women who present themselves in five minutes pitches to company representatives. We are encouraging women in our network to attend this event- not only to support the inspiring women who will be speaking, but also to benefit from this unique networking event.

Promote Yourself to a Potential Employer
Following the presentations, attendees will be able to network with the company representatives. We encourage you to bring your CVs to distribute to representatives who you connect to.
In the past, company representatives have commented that iwibdus has connected them with motivated, experienced women that they may not have normally had access to. This a unique opportunity to meet with potential employers who are not only genuinely interested in learning about you, but who also believe in our mission of empowering women from diverse backgrounds.
In other words, by attending this event, you may find an employer whose values you align with, in addition to getting your foot in the door.
Learn How to Pitch Yourself to Potential Employers
In preparation for their presentations, the female speakers received training from senior leadership at iwibdus. The goal of the training was to ensure that we not only provided the presenters with a platform to advocate for themselves, but that they also feel confident when they get on the stage on October 20th.
By watching these women pitch themselves, you will also be able to experience the knowledge that they’ve put into action. You can reflect on ways to pitch yourself to potential employers in writing and in person!
Connect with Like-Minded Women
Finally, by attending this event you will get to meet the women who make up our distinctive, international community of women.
While we all come from many places around the world, each of us have navigated the challenges and highlights of moving to a new place without a built-in network. We’ve all found a way to make it work here in Düsseldorf-both personally and professionally-and we are eager to share our knowledge with one another. We are also blessed to have German nationals in our organization who help our international members navigate their new lives here.
Ultimately, all our members are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to our organization. We seek to elevate and nurture all of the women in our network, whatever phase of their lives they are in.
